We know Avant-garde as pushing the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo. Avant-garde is seen as the beginning of modernism. In our time, do we still use the power of the arts as the most immediate and fastest way for social, political and economic reform? as said by Olinde Rodrigues. Or has it become a commercialised cover up for fashion?
